We are busy analysing the data and preparing the final results from our landmark 1st capture demonstration campaign aboard the SeaPeak Arwa vessel, which has taken our SBCC unit once around the globe already. Stay tuned for those all-important results, which should cover:
- Solvent degradation profile
- Emissions from the engine and capture prototype
- Impact of sea conditions/movement
There will also be a public webinar c.mid-2024 (exact date tbc) that will discuss the campaign and final results.
A Ship-Based Carbon Capture prototype developed in the Netherlands by Carbotreat / VDL Carbon Capture was installed on board the SEAPEAK ARWA, an LNG-powered carrier chartered by TotalEnergies, in September 2023. This video describes details of the first capture demonstration campaign, and expands on related studies carried out by the EverLoNG CCUS project.
